First visit

60 minutes

Assessment, explanation, a plan and your first treatment.

Where does it hurt?

Start with where, not with a diagnosis.

Lower back

Aches when sitting, bending or lifting, and stiffness in the morning.

Every first visit starts with listening: what happened, what hurts, what you want back.

Back and neck pain

Stiffness, aches that come and go, pain that's worse at the desk or first thing in the morning.

What we look at

  • How you sit, bend and lift
  • Which movements ease it and which flare it
  • Strength and mobility around the spine

In your sessions

  • Hands-on treatment where it helps
  • Guided movement you can feel working
  • A plan you can follow between visits

At home

  • Three or four short exercises
  • Ideas for breaking up long sitting
  • What to do if it flares

Many people come for four to six visits over a few weeks; we agree the number with you.

The appointment journey

From booking to back to normal.

  1. Step 1

    Book a first visit

Online or by phone. Tell us roughly what's going on; no referral needed for most plans.

  2. Step 2

    Assessment, 60 minutes

We listen, test how you move and explain what we find in plain English.

  3. Step 3

    A written plan

What we'll work on, how many visits we expect, and what you'll do at home.

  4. Step 4

    Follow-ups, 45 minutes

Treatment and progression. We adjust the plan as things change.

Most of the work happens between visits.

Every plan includes a short home programme: a few exercises, how often to do them and how to tell whether they’re helping. We’d rather you need fewer visits.

A quiet room, not a waiting line.

  • Step-free entrance and treatment rooms on the ground floor
  • Parking behind the building, with two accessible bays
  • Private rooms for every appointment
  • Open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm

Insurance & practical questions

Do you take my insurance?

We work with many health plans. Send your plan name when you book and we'll confirm cover before your first visit.

Do I need a referral?

Usually not. Some plans ask for one; we'll tell you if yours does.

What if I'm paying myself?

First visits and follow-ups have fixed prices, shown before you confirm, with no add-ons.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes you can move in. Shorts help for knee and ankle visits.

Can I cancel or move a visit?

Yes. Give us a day's notice and there's no charge.
